Yes. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, so you can place it anywhere in your home, not just near a power point, and there's no cable for curious cats to chew. On battery, it runs in Sensor or Timer mode. If you'd like water flowing nonstop, plug it in and switch to Continuous Mode.
A full charge takes around 5 hours and lasts up to 40 days in Sensor Mode. To charge, connect the included USB-C cable. The light shows solid red while charging and solid green when full, and it gently pulses red when the battery is running low. Fully charge it before first use. If you want to start straight away, you can use it while it charges and unplug once it's full.
Sensor Mode: when your cat comes within range, water flows for 20 seconds. If no cat is detected for an hour, it runs automatically to keep the water circulating and filtered.
Timer Mode: water flows for 20 seconds every 30 minutes.
Continuous Mode: water flows nonstop (works when plugged in).
To switch modes, press the button on top. Hold it for 1.5 seconds to turn the fountain on or off.
The sensor detects your cat from up to 3 metres away across a 120° range at the front of the fountain, so the water is already flowing by the time they arrive. The back can't sense movement, so place the fountain with its back against a wall.
The 5L stainless steel tank holds enough water for around 2-4 weeks for one cat, so you're not topping up a bowl every day. Just keep the water below the MAX line.
No. The flow is whisper-quiet, and in Sensor or Timer Mode it only runs in short bursts, so there's no constant hum in your home.
Replace the white filter every 2–4 weeks, or closer to every 2 weeks if you have multiple cats or a heavy shedder. Before fitting a new one, soak it in clean water for 5 minutes, then give it a rinse. The 7-filter bundle gives you around 3–6 months of fresh water, and the 13-filter bundle around 6–12 months.
For the freshest water, give the fountain a rinse about once a week, and swap in a new filter every 2–4 weeks. The stainless steel tank and water tray are dishwasher safe. Rinse the filter tray, pump and black sponge with room-temperature water, and always keep the control module (the top unit with the buttons) away from water.
The black sponge sits on the pump's water intake inside the fountain. It's a pre-filter that traps larger bits like fur and debris before they reach the pump, protecting it and helping it run smoothly. Rinse it under clean water whenever you clean the fountain, then pop it back on. There's no fixed replacement schedule: swap it for a fresh one when it looks worn or clogged, or simply replace it along with your white filter every third filter change.
