Tips for a happy groom

Make brush time the best part of their day 🐾

  • Treats, treats, treats: give a little treat before, during and after brushing, so your cat learns that brush time means good things
  • Pick a purr-fect moment: wait until they're relaxed and sleepy, like after a meal or a nap
  • Start with the good spots: begin with the fine comb on their cheeks, chin and back, where they already love a scratch
  • Little and often: two minutes is plenty to start. Stop while they're still happy and build up from there
  • Go gentle: brush with the fur, use light pressure and only a few passes with the de-shedding blade
  • Finish with cuddles: end with playtime or a cuddle so they look forward to next time 💕

The hidden dangers of not grooming your cat

Every time your cat grooms themselves, they swallow loose fur, which can lead to hairballs, tangles and painful matting. A few minutes of regular brushing lifts that fur away first, keeping their coat soft, healthy and comfortable.

Three grooming tools.

One brush.

Three tools built into one brush: a detangling rake, a de-shedding blade and a fine comb. Just flip to the one their coat needs to detangle, de-shed or smooth. From loose undercoat to stubborn knots and everyday brushing, one brush takes care of it all.

Sick of finding fur everywhere?

On your clothes. Your couch. Your bedding. Your floors. Instead of waiting for loose fur to shed around your home, remove it at the source. The de-shedding blade reaches through the coat to lift away loose fur, helping you stay ahead of shedding.

100% Money-Back Guarantee!

We believe caring for your cat should feel simple, stress-free and made with their wellbeing in mind. That’s why every Purr Time™ product is backed by our 30-day money-back guarantee. Try it risk-free and see if your cat loves it or receive a full refund.

Have questions?

Does it actually work?

Yes. Most brushes only skim the top coat, but the de-shedding blade reaches down to the loose undercoat, which is where most shedding comes from. A few minutes of brushing a couple of times a week means that fur ends up in the brush instead of on your couch, clothes and bedding.

What are the three tools for?

Detangling rake: gently eases out knots and tangles before they turn into mats.
De-shedding blade: lifts away loose undercoat to cut down shedding around your home.
Fine comb: smooths and finishes the coat so it's soft, shiny and neat.
Three tools built into one brush, with no drawer full of different combs.

How do I switch between tools?

No clicking, twisting or swapping parts. Just flick either side up to switch to the brush you need, and fold it back down to return to the rake. It takes a second and you can change mid-groom without putting your cat down.

Is it suitable for all coat types?

Yes. It works on short, long, fine and fluffy coats, including cats with thick undercoats. Long-haired cats will usually use all three tools, while short-haired cats may mostly need the rake and fine comb.

My cat hates being brushed. Will this work?

Lots of cats come around with the right approach. Start with short, two-minute sessions when they're relaxed, begin with the fine comb on spots they already love being patted (like cheeks and back), and finish with a treat. Over time, many cats start to treat brushing as bonding time. And because there's no motor, there's no buzzing or vacuum noise to spook them.

Will it hurt my cat?

Not when used gently. Always brush in the direction of hair growth with light pressure, and take extra care around the belly, legs and face. Go easy with the de-shedding blade: a few passes per area is plenty, and it shouldn't be used over mats or irritated skin. If your cat has severe matting, it's best to see a groomer or vet first.

How often should I brush my cat?

As a general guide, short-haired cats need brushing once or twice a week, and long-haired cats or heavy shedders every day or two. Most cats shed more in spring and autumn, so it's worth brushing more often during those seasons.

Can it help with hairballs?

Yes. Every time your cat grooms, they swallow loose fur. Brushing removes that fur first, so less of it ends up in their stomach and fewer hairballs end up on your floor.

How do I clean the brush?

Simply pull the collected fur from the bristles and rake after each session, and it's ready for next time. Keep the brush dry rather than rinsing or soaking it, as getting it wet can affect how it works over time.
